Riesling is a cool-climate specialty for Pooley Wines, consistently sourced from our Coal River Valley vineyards (Butcher's Hill and Cooinda Vale). Our winemaking is geared toward preserving the intense natural acidity and aromatic purity of the fruit. The wine is made entirely in stainless steel and undergoes brief maturation on fine lees to add subtle texture while keeping it vibrant. This results in a bright, energetic, and highly cellarable Riesling that showcases classic citrus and floral notes and a long, clean finish.
Aroma
Incredibly aromatic with classic notes of lime zest, green apple, and a hint of white floral.
Palate
The palate is bone dry, with a vibrant and zesty acidity that is a hallmark of cool-climate Riesling. Flavours of juicy citrus and green apple persist on the palate, leading to a long and refreshing finish

This Riesling's zesty acidity and citrus notes make it a perfect match for spicy Asian cuisine, such as Thai green curry or Vietnamese pho. It also pairs beautifully with sushi and sashimi, as well as lighter poultry dishes
