In keeping with the House style, Royale Rosé is distinctive for its delicate bouquet of complex, fruit-filled aromas. In the mouth the attack the precise, with hints of spice enhanted by notes of fruit. Champagne Philipponnat traces its vine-growing history in the Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ area to 1522. The house is best known for the Clos des Goisses, a steep, south-facing single-vineyard Champagne first released in the 1930s — among the earliest single-vineyard cuvées in the region.
