Louis de Grenelle was founded in 1859 in Saumur, Loire Valley, and produces sparkling wines by méthode traditionnelle — primarily Saumur Brut and Crémant de Loire. The cellars extend for approximately 15 kilometres through the tuffeau limestone cliffs beneath the town, maintaining a year-round temperature of 12°C. The same caves historically served for mushroom cultivation.
