What it tastes like.

The first traditional absinthe to have been made in France since the spirit was banned there in 1915. Distilled in the Rhone-Alpes, using nine herbs and spices, including grand wormwood, fennel and star anise. The bottle is opaque to help protect La Fée Parisienne’s natural ‘verte’ colour. Multi award winning and endorsed by the Musée de l’Absinthe, Auvers-sur-Oise, France. Distilled at the traditional 68% abv following an authentic 19th century recipe. Follow the back-label instructions and use the included Absinthe spoon to mix and enjoy in the traditional French method. A truly authentic Absinthe drinking experience.

La Fée was launched in 2000 by George Rowley as one of the first brands to revive commercial absinthe production in France after the spirit's long ban. The company works with the Musée de l'Absinthe at Auvers-sur-Oise and with historian Marie-Claude Delahaye. The range includes Absinthe Parisienne (French-style) and La Fée Bohémienne (Czech-style), both made to traditional pre-ban recipes.

Marie-Claude Delahaye, founder of the Auvers-sur-Oise Musée de l'Absinthe, partnered with George Rowley in 2000 to launch La Fée — among the first new absinthe brands in a century, after the spirit's century-long ban across Europe and the United States ended in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The brand played a meaningful role in re-establishing the legitimate-absinthe category outside of underground and Czech-style imitations.
