"Widow Jane was founded by Daniel Prieto Preston as a sister project to his Cacao Prieto chocolate factory in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The whiskey is proofed with mineral water from the Widow Jane Mine, a former limestone quarry near Rosendale in upstate New York that supplied stone for landmarks including the Statue of Liberty's pedestal.
