"Eden Mill began as a brewery in 2012 and added a distillery in 2014, becoming Scotland's first combined brewery and distillery in modern times. The site at Guardbridge, on the banks of the River Eden a few miles west of St Andrews, has a long alcohol-making history — the Haig family operated Seggie Distillery there from 1810, and the site later served as a paper mill before the University of St Andrews redeveloped it.
