The Moreau family has been part of the Chablis wine trade for generations; the domaine in its current form focuses on estate-grown wines rather than négoce sourcing. Vineyards include parcels in several Premier Cru lieu-dits — Vaillons, Montée de Tonnerre — and Grand Cru Les Clos. Chablis is made solely from Chardonnay, with the mineral Kimmeridgian limestone and clay soils giving the wines their characteristic oyster-shell and green-apple character.
