What it tastes like.

'The 2020 Terre de Pierre is initially seductive and savoury with youthful, apple sauce flavours and a delicate, leesy character. There’s plentiful concentration here, but it has a delightful sense of lightness on its feet and purity of fruit. It has a finesse of texture on the finish and a precise, tense conclusion. Vines planted in 1974 on one of the highest and most exposed sites in Muscadet, La Butte de la Roche, in the village of Loroux-Bottereau. Here, the terroir is based on rare 500 million-year-old Serpentinite (pictured above). The juice is cold-settled then fermented with native yeasts and matured on lees for 17 months without racking.

Domaine Luneau-Papin is a Muscadet estate based at Le Landreau in the Sèvre-et-Maine sub-appellation of Muscadet, south-east of Nantes. Pierre-Marie and Marie Luneau-Papin work around 50 hectares of Melon de Bourgogne, with several single-vineyard cuvées by soil type.
