What it tastes like.

Feudi di Pisciotto is a Sicilian estate based at the Niscemi crossroads in the south-east of the island, in the heart of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria zone. Their range includes single-varietal bottlings of the island's most important native grapes. Grillo is one of Sicily's flagship white varieties β€” historically the workhorse of Marsala fortified wine, now increasingly bottled as a serious dry white.

The 2023 vintage produced bright, focused whites in Sicily. Expect a straw-yellow colour and a generous nose of ripe apple and pear that has become the variety's calling card. The palate is warm and dry, slightly tannic, with a citrus brightness running through the close β€” textural, food-friendly and clearly Sicilian.

Pair with seafood antipasti, swordfish, prawn pasta, lemony grilled vegetables or fresh sheep's milk cheese.

Bottle questions

Before you open it.

A few practical answers for storage, delivery, and choosing the right bottle.

How should I store it before opening?

Keep it somewhere cool, dark, and steady. Wine prefers cellar temperature; spirits are happier away from heat and direct sunlight.

How long will it keep once opened?

Wine changes quickly after opening; spirits and liqueurs generally hold longer if capped tightly and kept out of heat. If it is a special bottle, ask before opening and the team can give product-specific guidance.

Can I ask for a similar bottle?

Yes. Contact Caravan with this bottle name and the occasion; the team can suggest a close match, a safer gift, or a step up or down in price.

How is it packed for delivery?

Orders are packed in bottle-safe cartons. If anything arrives damaged or looks wrong, contact the team with your order number and a photo so they can sort the next step.

What about hot weather shipping?

The team avoids making one-size-fits-all promises around heat and carrier timing. For heat-sensitive or cellar bottles, contact Caravan before ordering and they can advise the safest dispatch window.

Why Caravan backs Feudi del Pisciotto

Sicily

"Feudi del Pisciotto sits at Niscemi in the province of Caltanissetta, in central-southern Sicily on the calcareous-clay soils between the Mount Etna foothills to the north-east and the Vittoria plain to the south. The estate works the indigenous Sicilian varieties: Frappato (Cerasuolo di Vittoria's lighter component, here bottled solo), Nero d'Avola (the dominant Sicilian red), and the white Grillo.
