Dark cherry red colour, deep and bright.
Complex aromas with hints of fruit and elegant notes of fine wood, blackberry, black cherry, sweet spice and tar. With a velvet mouth feel and a lengthy finish.

"Francisco Chávarri founded the winery in 1882 in Lapuebla de Labarca, on the Álava (Basque) side of the Ebro river that bounds the Rioja DOCa. The family registered as the first commercial bottler in Rioja Alavesa, the sub-zone known for fresher, structured Tempranillos compared with the heavier styles further south.
