Altosur Vineyard Gualtallary, Argentina.

By the Andes, altitude 4000 feet. Soils of alluvial origin, loose and highly permeable structure. Special pruning, irrigation and canopy management to obtain a balanced vineyard that provides high quality grapes.

Tasting Notes: Pale pink colour with onion skin notes. Intense aromas of forest fruits, strawberry, cherry, blackberry with interesting mineral notes. A soft velvety wine with great freshness and fruitiness.

Altosur is the entry-label of Finca Sophenia, a Mendoza estate established in 1997 in the Altamira district of the Tunuyán Valley. The vineyards sit at around 1,050 metres altitude on alluvial soils at the foot of the Andes, growing Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Torrontés. Altosur wines are built for by-the-glass use in on-trade programs.
