"Tenuta Rapitalà was acquired by the Hugues Bernard de la Gatinais family in the 1960s and operates from the Camporeale highlands, west of Palermo in the cooler interior of Sicily. The estate now sits within the GIV (Gruppo Italiano Vini) portfolio. Higher-altitude plantings give the wines a fresher acidic profile than coastal Sicily.
