"Melanie and Lizzie da Silva founded Macchu Pisco in 2006 as the first pisco brand owned and operated by sisters, with production sited in the Ica Valley south of Lima. Pisco is a grape brandy distilled to proof (no water added after distillation) and bottled without aging in any cask that imparts colour or flavour — distinguishing it sharply from grape brandies like Cognac or Armagnac.
