The Pascal family farmed vines around La Cadière d'Azur for generations, selling fruit to the local cooperatives. Alain Pascal — known to friends as Gros'Noré, the estate's nickname — created Domaine du Gros'Noré in 1997 to estate-bottle the family fruit. The 16-hectare vineyard sits on the limestone-and-sandstone amphitheatre of Bandol, with vines facing the Mediterranean.
