What it tastes like.

Domaine de la Roche Paradis sits in the heart of the northern Rhone, with vines in some of the best terraced sites for Syrah on the right bank of the river. The 'Saint Joseph Berg' is the estate's expression of the Saint-Joseph appellation — 100% Syrah from steep granite slopes, hand-harvested and vinified with restraint to preserve aromatic lift.

Expect a classic northern Rhone Syrah profile — black pepper, violets, dark cherry and a wisp of smoked meat, with the cool-climate freshness and fine-grained tannin that distinguishes Saint-Joseph from its bigger neighbours to the south. The 2020 vintage was warm but balanced, producing wines with concentration and ripe fruit.

Drinks well now and will hold and improve over the next 5–8 years. Pair with grilled lamb chops, slow-braised beef cheek or roast pigeon.
