Rocca di Frassinello is a Maremma joint venture between Castellare di Castellina (the Tuscan estate) and Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). The cellar — designed by architect Renzo Piano — opened in 2007 in the Tuscan coastal Maremma at Gavorrano.

Why Caravan backs Rocca di Frassinello

Tuscany

Rocca di Frassinello was set up as a joint venture between two of Caravan's brief-listed anchor producers: Castellare di Castellina (Paolo Panerai's Tuscan estate in Chianti Classico) and Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Château Lafite). The estate sits in the coastal Maremma of southern Tuscany, near Gavorrano in the province of Grosseto, where Bordeaux varieties have been grown since the early 1990s.
