What it tastes like.

This dense and oily Kornog has a combination of coastal notes mingling with earthy peat smoke. Input from the Sauternes cask remains discreet: Hints of flamed orange peel, lucerne and raisin cake round out the finish, while date-like sweetness enters late through the medium-long, sooty aftertaste. Rustic. Earth and sweet peat dominate.

"Jean Donnay founded Glann ar Mor in 2005 at Pleubian on the north Brittany coast, on a property facing the Atlantic. The distillery is small (two pot stills) and operates on traditional Highland-style methods: long fermentation, slow direct-fired distillation, no chill filtration, no caramel colouring. Maturation uses ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, ex-port and Sauternes casks.
