What it tastes like.

Cavit is one of Trentino's largest and best-known cooperatives, drawing from a wide network of small grower-members across the alpine valleys of northern Italy. Their Pinot Nero is the cooperative's expression of Pinot Noir from the cool, mountain-influenced vineyards of Trentino — a region producing some of Italy's most reliable cool-climate reds.

The 2020 vintage was a balanced one in Trentino. Expect a bright ruby-red colour that develops brick-red tinges with age, and a pronounced nose of red fruit, fresh cherry, a hint of almond and a touch of vanilla from a measured oak influence. The palate is medium-bodied and well-balanced, with bottle age conferring elegance and integration to the fine-grained tannin.

Pair with mushroom risotto, roast chicken, salmon or alpine cheeses. 12% ABV.
